Whether you're exchanging initial messages or meeting in person, we want to ensure you have a positive and safe experience while using our platform. Please take a moment to review our safety tips before getting started on your journey.

Online Safety

  • Never send money or share financial information, especially over wire transfer, to anyone you meet online. This type of transaction is difficult to reverse or trace, and sharing information that could access your financial accounts could put you at risk. If someone asks you for money, please report it to us immediately.
  • Protect your personal information by not sharing details such as your social security number, home or work address, or daily routine with people you don't know. If you're a parent, limit the information you share about your children on your profile and in early communications, and avoid sharing details like their names, school, ages, or genders.
  • Please stay on the platform while getting to know someone, as our Safe Message Filters can help keep you safe. Be wary of anyone who wants to immediately move the conversation to text, email or phone, as they may have bad intentions.
  • Be cautious of long-distance or overseas relationships, especially if someone claims to be from your country but is stuck somewhere else and asks for financial help to return home. If someone is avoiding your questions or pushing for a serious relationship without getting to know you first, it's a red flag.
  • Please report any suspicious or offensive behavior to us. This includes requests for money or donations, harassment, offensive messages, inappropriate or harmful behavior during or after meeting in person, fraudulent profiles, and spam or solicitation. You can report any concerns by emailing hello@wudya.me or from any profile page or messaging window.
  • Protect your account by picking a strong password, and always be careful when logging into your account from a public or shared computer. Remember, we'll never ask for your username and password through email. If you receive such an email, report it to us immediately. If you log in using your phone number, do not share your SMS code with anyone.
  • Meeting In Person

  • Don't rush into meeting someone in person. Take your time and get to know them before agreeing to meet or chat off the platform. Use a phone or video call as a screening tool before a meeting.
  • Meet in a public place for the first few times, and never at your home, your date's home, or any other private location. If your date pressures you to go to a private location, end the date.
  • Tell a friend or family member of your plans, including when and where you're going, and have your cell phone charged and with you at all times.

It's important to remember that no matter how many precautions you take, there is always a level of risk involved when meeting someone new. However, by following our safety tips and being aware of potential red flags, you can minimize that risk and have a positive experience on our platform. But if something goes wrong, please know that it is not your fault and help is available. We encourage you to report any negative incidents to us immediately. Additionally, if you feel in immediate danger or need emergency assistance, don't hesitate to contact local authorities by calling 911 (in the U.S. or Canada) or your local law enforcement agency. Your safety is our top priority and we're here to support you in any way we can.
